The ceremony began by charting out its objective, that is, to achieve the purpose of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 (“CPA, 2019”). The dynamic developments of the field such as product liability, endorsement liability, and e-commerce were also highlighted. It witnessed the presence of various eminent persons. Shri Rohit Kumar Singh, the Secretary of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, addressed the attendees by underscoring the role of the consumer commissions. He dealt with the transforming paradigm of the consumer market. Further, various sessions were conducted to train the members of Kerala District Consumer Redressal Commission regarding consumer related issues.
